How do I contact college football coaches regarding playing and introducing myself?

Question by Balboa: How do I contact college football coaches regarding playing and introducing myself?
My grandson wants to play college football. We want to write letters to the coaches of the schools he is interested in. Is there any free resources that will tell us how to go about doing this?

It’s probably smarter to actually visit the school and talk with the coaches one on one. If thats not an option then e-mail the school asking for a number or try the university homepage for contacts.

Why did the NFL decide to broadcast very good football games on the NFL network?

Question by Its that simple: Why did the NFL decide to broadcast very good football games on the NFL network?
Seriously? It pisses me off that the cowboys-packers games, which was the most important regular game of the season besides the colts-pats, was aired on a small network as opposed to a huge one like ABC or CBS or whatever. In addition, if the pats go undefeated, guess where is the only place you can watch that historic last regular season game?
Seriously, I think the NFL stopped caring about the fans. Why do they broadcast games on NFL network now?

Legendary Dallas Cowboys Reunite for Charity Golf Tournament

Legendary Dallas Cowboys Reunite for Charity Golf Tournament

TROPHY CLUB, Texas (PRWEB) April 12, 2012

Legendary Dallas Cowboys Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin and Jay Novacek will reunite during the second annual Cowboy Scramble, which benefits The Nova Center.

With one in four Americans suffering from clinical depression, this charity tournament and outdoor challenge draws attention to an issue that is often hidden by the one it affects.

“It’s nice to have such strong men behind us who are in the public eye,” said Holly Turner, event coordinator for the Cowboy Scramble. “We want to let those who are suffering from depression know it’s OK to talk about it. We can help.”

The NOVA Center is dedicated to helping individuals and their families who are battling clinical depression and other debilitating ailments.

Novacek, who is the face of the charity and sits on the board of trustees, encourages people to attend the Cowboy Scramble, which is on Monday, April 23. His old teammates will be there in full force to help him spread the word on clinical depression.

“You can bring healing and hope to loved ones close to you,” Novacek said. “Make a difference by making a donation.”

His former teammates are doing just that. Smith will join Novacek in a putting contest, as well as pose for pictures with attendees. When Aikman is not playing in the golf tournament he will sign autographs.

In addition to the golf tournament, there will be a dinner and live auction that features items from the legendary athletes. Irvin will be on hand during these events. The money raised will help fund the building of the NOVA Wellness Center.

“We want to build a healing haven that is a mind, body and soul cleansing center,” Turner said. “Our goal is to have treatment centers in cities all over the country.”

San Diego Traumatic Brain Injury Lawyer Daniel Gilleon Appears on Fox News to Discuss Junior Seau Death

San Diego Traumatic Brain Injury Lawyer Daniel Gilleon Appears on Fox News to Discuss Junior Seau Death

San Diego Personal Injury Attorneys

San Diego, California (PRWEB) May 10, 2012

Daniel Gilleon, a San Diego traumatic brain injury lawyer and a partner at the law firm of Mitchell | Gilleon, recently appeared on Fox News to provide his insight and perspective in relation to the death of Junior Seau, a former All-Pro NFL linebacker and San Diego County native who committed suicide on May 2, 2012. Attorney Gilleon appeared on the program “Geraldo at Large” which is hosted by Geraldo Rivera on May 7.

Mr. Gilleon was interviewed for a story concerning the death of Junior Seau and the possibility that his death could have been due to repeated traumatic brain injuries that Mr. Seau suffered during his 20 years of playing in the National Football League. The family of Junior Seau is deciding whether or not to allow his brain to be studied for signs of damage that has been present in the brains of other former NFL players who have died.

Specifically, the most common condition that has been diagnosed in the brains of former NFL players who had suffered traumatic brain injuries is known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE. CTE is a progressive, degenerative disease that is only diagnosed post-mortem in patients. CTE features damage to the brain tissue and involves symptoms including dementia, memory loss, aggressive behavior and depression.

Mr. Gilleon was asked in the Fox News interview about traumatic brain injuries suffered by NFL players, and he stated that these types of traumatic brain injuries change who you are. In addition, Mr. Gilleon offered his opinion that NFL players have not been fully aware of the risks involving traumatic brain injuries and that team doctors may not have shared all of the information regarding traumatic brain injuries and CTE with players who have faced that risk. At this time, it is not known whether or not Junior Seau suffered brain damage from traumatic brain injuries and it will not be known unless his brain is studied.

About Mitchell | Gilleon

Mitchell | Gilleon is a team of San Diego traumatic brain injury lawyers who have been representing people who have been injured in several ways for many years. The firm handles cases involving traumatic brain injuries, civil rights cases, San Diego personal injury matters, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, auto accidents, consumer rights, defective products cases, employment law disputes and many others.
